A BRIEF HISTORY OF ME

I’m a photographer and visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York. New York City has been my home since I moved from my native Italy in 2007. The vibrant streets of this concrete jungle have been an inspiration for me as a photographer. In 2009 one of my photographs was selected for a group exhibit in Dumbo titled “Capture Brooklyn” and shortly after I applied and got accepted to Brooklyn College, where I expanded my artistic language.

After graduating in 2015, while working as a waiter and bartender, it became even clearer that NYC was and is the place for me and that photography was my medium of choice to communicate my experiences.

In 2018 my son was born and he changed my life. Though family has always been a cornerstone of my life, the importance of it was put into high relief when I became a father. Everyday, Zeno teaches me something about myself and shows me a piece of the world through different eyes.

I cherish the world that a family creates and see that reflected in the environments I call home. Taking pictures of families—chosen and given—and getting to spend time with people who love one another has only enriched me as an artist.
